This new elementary used an 11 acre site. Administration was position for visual observations. Entrances were minimized for access controls. The full size Gymnasium doubles as a community Tornado Shelter for 1,000 occupants and is centrally located for quick access. Modern lighting and technology were heavily used. All classrooms have a walk-in closet and adjustable touch screen monitor. Length of Corridors and a secure Playground were factors in the design. The Playground is bordered by the building on three sides, protecting students from parking areas and visitors. The Dining Hall includes a stage for a variety of functions.
