The original auditorium was completed in 1958. We recently completed a new retro-fit roofing which changed the existing flat roof into a sloped standing seam metal roof to the 5-sided building. In 2014 the school decided to remodel the auditorium to comply with handicap and accessibility requirements and to give the auditorium a new interior appearance. A building addition was added to make the Restrooms accessible and to bring the plumbing code requirements up to date. This afforded us to also include a new fire sprinkler system and riser, new Mechanical and Janitors Closet. The suspended grid ceiling was removed and a new cost-effective suspended drywall ceiling was designed with sloping segments floating away from walls. The entrance and seating was reconfigured to increase the seating capacity to 700. New seating is very noticeable, along with a new stage front, flooring, wall finishes and theatrical lighting. We are very proud of the final result of this project.
